At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.(Matthew:11:25 & 26)
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the way that can be easily found, the truth that can be easily known and the life that can be easily experienced. Knowing GOD doesn't require a great deal of wisdom or prudence but just a child like heart. Just like how babies and children places their absolute trust in their Father, we are called to be child like in order to experience the fullness of GOD in our lives.
Sometimes, we over complicate the things of GOD and leave ourselves in a confused state. It happens when we try to understand the things of GOD using our own intellect. The learned and the religious in the days of Jesus couldn't come to terms with whatever He said, mainly because, instead of believing His words as they were, they tested, reasoned and evaluated it using their own understanding. When we treat GOD as a "subject" and try to study Him, we will only gain a head knowledge about Him which is of no use. Treat GOD as your Father and get into a relationship with Him, its a whole lot different proposition altogether.

Peter believed the words of Jesus and cast the net in the same place where he and his fellowmen had caught nothing the earlier night. He was an expert fisherman and still never reasoned with Jesus and tried talking Him out of it. He obeyed with a child-like faith and was rewarded with an overflowing catch. Of course, there will be a situation where its hard to believe GOD and you got to fight your own self. You are not alone! GOD has given us the comforter - Holy Spirit, who will whisper into your ears and make you remember the promises of GOD and will get you over the finish line.
