Yes to Righteousness!

Then Daniel said to the king, O king, live forever! My God has sent His angel and has shut the lions’ mouths so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent and blameless before Him; and also before you, O king, [as you very well know] I have done no harm or wrong. (Daniel:6:21&22)

This is a well known passage from the Scriptures that talks about how the Lord miraculously rescues Daniel from the lions. Daniel says that the reason as to why the Lord saved him was that he was innocent and blameless before the Lord and also the king. In other words, according to Daniel, not only because of his faith but also because of his own righteousness the Lord sent an angel and rescued him.

Under the New Covenant, Christ is our righteousness and we are the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians:5:21 says "He made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." What an honor and privilege! Righteousness means right standing with GOD. Our own deeds and actions cannot in any way match the righteousness that we have attained through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, when we go before GOD in prayer, we need not worry about righteousness because ours has been replaced with the righteousness of GOD Himself. When GOD looks at us, He is looking at His own righteousness which is blameless, innocent and perfect. Perfect than Daniel's and any other man of GOD from the Old Testament. If Daniel's righteousness and faith made Him to shut the mouth of lions, how much more with GOD's righteousness we should be accomplishing for the kingdom of GOD!! With this righteousness we should be able to stand ground against Corona or any other crisis that we may face. Keep the faith and never give up.

Blessings!
