Jesus replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew:15:13&14)
The plant that the Father plants refer to the calling on our lives. If we are not willing and obedient to the call of GOD in our lives, we will be like blind guides. The call of GOD doesn't necessarily applies only to the full time ministers of GOD. It's for every born again believer irrespective of the occupation he/she is associated with. For those in the secular world, the call of GOD is to do everything pertaining to their workplace with His wisdom and excellence.

Jesus' warning here tells us that we should be careful in staying away from things that we are not called to do. The Pharisees were an example of that. Instead of going back to the word and checking about Jesus if he is indeed the real Messiah, they were confronting Him. They were not called to do that but to teach the Old Testament law. They were stepping outside their calling and thus becoming like blind guides. There are many ministries that are falling apart because it was started on someone's assumption that the Lord had called them to establish that ministry while it wasn't. Gideon had an encounter with the Angel of the Lord who announced his calling. The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” (Judges:6:14) Take note that your calling might be sudden and unexpected. Gideon wasn't even expecting an encounter let alone the commission that followed. On the natural, your calling may seem impossible to you at first. But if it is from the Lord, we better run with Him as Gideon did.
Sit in His presence and find out about your calling today. You may be called to be a housewife, teacher, pastor etc. Are you doing enough justice to the call that the Lord had placed on your life? To do justice to the calling on your life, you need to surrender your lives to GOD first and then be willing and obedient to His call on your life. If you are called to be a parent, every responsibility that comes with it must be taken care by you. With GOD's help, of course. Jesus was called to be the lamb that would be slain and He willingly and humbly accepted it. He never shied away from any of the responsibilities that came with it.
