Position Yourself as His Son

Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?” (Psalms:115:1&2)

Not just unbelievers, sometimes we too have this question arise in our minds "Where is our GOD"? Just like Gideon did in Judges 6:13 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” We, like Gideon are asking the right question but to the wrong person. It's a question we must ask ourselves. GOD is the same yesterday, today and forever. So, why aren't the miracles mentioned in the Bible taking place in just one or two places and not in every church and in every believer's life? GOD of the Bible remains the same, but we, His people aren't. We need to reach the level of those men in the Bible, in understanding and in knowledge of GOD so that we can show the world the only one true GOD - Jesus Christ. The psalmist concludes this chapter by saying that the blessings of the Lord over His people will be a testimony for His existence. When we, His people inherit and experience the blessings mentioned in the Bible, the world will see the Lord we are talking about.

How to be blessed and prosper in everything that we do, like the men of the Bible were? Ephesians:1:3 is the key. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." Pay attention to the word "every". We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing that GOD has to offer, but still we are lacking in every area of our lives like finances, health, relationship etc. This all will change if we position our mind correctly, aligning it to the Word of GOD. Then, Ephesians:1:3 will became a reality and we will not only inherit every spiritual blessing but we will demonstrate it like the men of Bible did for all the world to see and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We read about Zacchaeus, the tax collector climbing the sycamore tree to have a glimpse of Jesus. (Luke:19) He didn't give an excuse saying that he was short. So he ran ahead and climbed the tree, positioning himself at a perfect place to see Jesus. Not to receive anything from Him but just to see Him. We too, need to position ourselves during our quiet time with Him just to see His face, just seek Him. Psalm:34:5 says "Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." You seek His face not His arms every time you go to Him in prayer. When we have such a mindset, seeking His face out of love, getting our mind renewed with His word daily, it won't be long before we will begin to experience the supernatural life style that is a given for everyone who calls Jesus Christ as Lord. We are His sons and daughters and our life must reflect nothing less than this truth.

Blessings!
